As always, my most recent experience with Dr. Shamblott et al was a great one. I am a "dentalphobe" of the highest order, but I feel safe when in their care. They respect me and my feelings, and do their utmost to be gentle. They are so very thorough and knowledgeable, and explain things so that I can understand. Now that I've found them, I won't go anywhere else for my dental care!

Non-judging
Had put off the dentist for to many years,until one of my molars cracked. Forced to go in and Dr. DeLlano was the best dentist at easing my anxiety, she explains everything and is non judging and a very kind person. 3 root canals/crowns and many fillings later my teeth are almost back to normal. I like the smaller practice feel and the fact that I can always have the same dentist for each procedure vs feeling like a factory as I've experienced at Park Dental in the past. I'd recommend to anyone with dental fear, no judgement by front desk, dental assistance or dentists. Glad to have found Shamblott Dentistry!!

Wisdom Teeth Removal
Everything went well, Scott was very accomodating. The only thing that could have been better was being able to watch the movie I chose. They were having issues with the headsets, and couldn't keep the movie working correctly.

Conquering the fear!
I can never say that I truly enjoy going to the dentist, BUT Shamblott did make it a WHOLE lot better. Being able to watch Harry Potter & have the use of NO to reduce my anxiety helped a ton. They were always concerned if I was doing alright, and if I need anything. I didn't feel judged, it was a good experience. Probably one of the best I've had. Thanks, again.

Great Experience
I am not comfortable at the dentist because of a bad experience in the past. My experience was much better than I expected. I was in the chair for almost 3 hours, Dr. Shamblott explained what he was doing, made sure I was comfortable and made sure I was ok. Could not have gone better.

Fearful patient no more
As a fearful patient, I was reassured immediately by everyone, and had an experience which was calming. I was surprised to learn that I had to have 2 teeth removed, but everything was explained perfectly and I was confident that everything that needed to be done was going to be done.

Scaredy-cat's Going to Get a Smile!
I blame the dentist I had growing up. He might have been the model for the dentist (Steve Martin character) in Little Shop of Horrors. When I became an adult and responsible for my own dental care, I lagged. Pouted. Procrastinated. "Forgot." But hearing about Shamblott Family Dentistry's mission gave me hope that I could deal with it all. Every member of their team was respectful, professional, compassionate and supportive. I have dental phobia. Can't brush my tongue for gagging. Use a water pik unstead of floss because of my gag reflex. But I started here at Shamblott two years ago and I go back every three to four months. I could not even consider going anywhere else. they understand my tension and unease and I would recommend them to anyone. Even my husband.

Best dental experience ever........ and I'm 63 years old !!
Today was my first appointment---for deep cleaning. Christie (unsure of spelling) was my hygenist. She was so patient with my anxiety and communicated so well with me that I was as ease as I ever thought I could be in a dental chair. I am actually looking forward to next week, finishing my cleaning and moving on to the "heavier" dental work I need.

I shared with them my past experiences that make me fearful today of the dentisit and they made every effort to make my visit as comfortable as they could. I have a dental phobia and I was very anxious about getting a root canal. From the moment I walked in the door, the staff was kind, patient, and understanding of my anxieties. Dr. Shamblott and his staff all have such warm, gentle, caring demeanors, and it put me at ease. Dr. Shamblott and his staff walked me through the procedure, making sure I understood everything, always giving me the opportunity to take a break or ask questions. Dr. Shamblott did everything he could to make me as comfortable as possible during my procedures and I felt confident that I was in capable hands. I am so happy with the service and care that I have recieved at Shamblott, I am terrified of the dentist and they never made me feel badly about the neglect that I have inflicted on my mouth, they made me comfortable and for the first time in a very long time I can look at my teeth with out wanting to cry! I was made to feel right at home and a lot of care was given to my comfort.

Ann was wonderful. There was a time I stopped going for cleaning because it was painful and irritating - this is my 3rd cleaning at Shamblott and what a difference. I will not avoid appointments and know that my dental care is in good hands. Ann is courteous, gentle, careful and yet I know did a fabulous job. She was knowledgable and able to answer my questions.

I am the most phobic person when it comes to the dentist and I had to have a wisdom tooth removed. I can't stand shots or needles in my mouth. Dr. Shamblott and the nurse were amazing and so gentle and kind towards me. I never felt ashamed for being so nervous about the appointment. I will continue to go to Shamblott because I really felt taken care of.

Great 1st Experience
Dental phobia kept me away but an emergency dental situation brought me to Shamblott's doorstep. Once inside, I was amazed at how sensitive everyone was and did not make me feel like "a big baby". The level of professionalism, advanced dental technology and sensitivity of staff will bring me back to continue on my path of better dental care. Will my phobia disappear - doubt it. But I left there knowing I'd be back. That is an accomplishment after avoiding any contact for 4-5 years. Thank you Shamblott!!

I am historically known to be a nervous wreck at dentist appointments and have a great fear of them all together. However, my experience at Shamblott truly helped turn that around. Not only were all the employees genuinely kind and helpful, but they all seemed to have my best interest in mind, which is always a plus (you'd be surprised at how many clinics don't actually seem to have the patient's best interest in mind). Also, I am financially on a low end and truly appreciated the free new patient screening, as well as the free laughing gas -- of which definitely played a roll in my relaxation for the procedure. The procedure itself went swimmingly. Dr. Shamblott was great at explaining everything and getting the job done fast and accurately. He rocks! Overall, I was quite impressed and tremendously relieved. Thank you all for making this experience a positive one. I look forward to visiting again. :)

Overall Fantastic
I found the experience overall very good and will continue to come here for my dental care. The only bummer was having the corners of my mouth torn, and I think it's that bite block, because I've never had the bite block at another office, and have never had the corners of my mouth torn before. That said, I'll still return. As a semi-dental phobe, who tends to clench every muscle in my body while having work done on my teeth, I think these guys are OUTSTANDING in their services, offerings, and care.

I am dental phobic. Dr. Shamblott and his staff helped me feel comfortable and safe in their care. They immediately stopped treatment when I indicated pain. No questions. They allowed my friend to sit with me in the treatment room. If you're a dental-phobe please give them a try.

I am one who is a little uncomfortable about dental work, and admittedly embabrassed about the condition of my teeth which has kept me away. Dr. Shamblott made me feel comfortable about that. The dental tech and admin staff were pleasant, efficient and that helps alot. I am going to get started on some much needed care with Dr. Shamblott's Office. Highly recommend.

The staff is great with children. My son was shown on the computer screen and x-ray which teeth they would be pulling and he was offered a headset so that he could listen to music during the procedure. My children love going to the dentist!

The staff was friendly and very patient with me as I asked questions, and they were very knowledgeable. When someone didn't know an answer to one of my questions they went above and beyond to give me more information and a better understanding of the situation. What was the best part of your experience at our practice?: I have no more fear or anxiety related to the dentist. For eight years I've been avoiding the dentist and making my situation worse, and Dr. Shamblott worked with me to help my fears. How could we make your experience better, or improve our service for your next visit?: I feel that my experience was wonderful, however I do feel that the waiting room and exam rooms were a little bit cold. That is however, to be expected in the middle of winter. Great Dentist!
I'm one of those people that never got over the childhood fear of the dentist- but this office takes all measures to ensure you are comfortable before your visit. They take the extra steps to prepare for tooth extraction to ensure that it is a going to be a safe process, with the least pain possible. I would definitely recommend!

a couple of days ago, i had the worst toothache && NO INSURANCE. i called around the Twin Cities area && no one would take me. around 2-3am, i couldn't sleep because the pain was SO severe. i did an internet search for emergency dentists && an ad for Shamblott Family Dentistry popped up. i left a comment stating my condition && i was called just hours later, making an appointment for a check-up. i was nervous, of course. but the staff was AMAZING && so helpful, i as put at ease every moment i was there. reasonable pricing && fantastic service. =]

I just wanted to say thank you for helping my son last week. He had been to another dentist, and the experience had been so unpleasant for him, he was afraid to go at all. We listen to FM107.1 in the mornings and he started paying attention to Ian Punnett's commercial telling people that he was a dental phobe. So after a few weeks of being shushed when the "1-800-fixmyteeth" commercial came on, he finally agreed to go on a field trip to check it out. Once we were there, the receptionist treated him with a great deal of respect, and allowed him to sign all of the paperwork, next to my signature, making him feel like he was informed, and part of the decision process. As you could tell he was actually having fun. The staff did a great job explaining the process, and he was blown away when he was actually able to see the video of each of his teeth and what needs to be done, and why. He still has a great deal of work that needs to be done, but if the first visit was any indication, we've been able to take a huge bite out of his dental phobia issues.

Routine cleaning
visit I first saw Dr. Shamblott last year for major dental work related to an accident and years of neglect to my teeth. As someone with a dental phobia, it had been years since I'd seen a DDS. I had a full day-long sedation dentistry appointment that took care of most of my issues at the time. The staff there has been extremely friendly and understanding. They are encouraging and have made me want to show up for my regular check-ups and cleanings rather than avoid them as I did in the past. I still have quite a bit of anxiety when I go to see them, but it is decreasing each time. THANK YOU for taking such good care of me.

Prior to seeing Dr. Shamblott, I last visited a dentist 4 years ago. I avoided dental care because of fear. My poor dental health was affecting my overall health and self esteem. I had a traumatic dental experience at the dentist as a youth and I was terrified to even enter the dentist office, however my options were limited to either live in pain or to suffer and bite the bullet. After hearing about sedation, I was relieved. I was able to get 4 root canals in one appointment and didn’t feel a thing. Dr. Shamblott was very helpful during the whole process and I was thrilled with the results.

People very rarely take the time to write a letter or call to express sincere appreciation when it is deserved. This letter is to express how very pleased I am with the services that I received at Shamblott Family Dentistry. I have been treated with the utmost patience and concern from the very first call that I made as a “terrified” patient who was in pain to my last appointment to cement crowns. I was very impressed that when I called the office with a severe toothache that I was asked to come over to the office as soon as possible. My concerns were addressed promptly and efficiently upon my arrival. Xrays and a complete examination were performed in an expert manner on my very first visit. Because I was very frightened about the possibility of having a great deal of dental work done, the option of sedation was explained to me and I felt that it would work out perfectly for me. I had two separate lengthy sedation visits and highly recommend the sedation dentistry experience. I was able to complete extensive dental work in a very relaxed environment and didn’t have any recall of the experience the next day. I cannot say enough to compliment Dr. Shamblott and his highly trained staff. Dr. Shamblott immediately made me feel comfortable and completed my dental work in an extremely efficient manner in an office with all of the most up to date technical equipment. Dr. Shamblott made sure that I was comfortable with every aspect of my care along the way. The staff at Shamblott Family Dentistry are all specially trained to handle all of the needs of the sedation patient and are extremely patient and caring. In closing, I highly recommend Dr. Shamblott and the staff at Shamblott Family Dentistry. I would not consider having dental work done in the future without the benefits of sedation. To say that Dr. Shamblott and his staff are the best is truly an understatement!

I just wanted to take the time to let you know how very happy I am with all of you. It is so nice to come into a place of business and be treated with warmth and caring regardless of how you all might really be feeling at that moment. The effort you make to extend a warm welcome is truly appreciated. I have always HATED going to the dentist as I am VERY phobic. However, two weeks ago when I came in for a concern of mine, I actually fell asleep in the dental chair waiting! And, without the benefit of medication! For me that is really a big deal as I usually “white knuckle” it from the time I walk in until the time I walk out. That I fell asleep says a lot as to my trust factor with all of you and the comfort level I feel when I’m in your office. Thank you! You are the best! I gotta say that I've been with Dr. Shamblott for 7 years and even though I've moved fairly far from the office in that time-50 miles-I'm still certain it's worth the drive. I always feel like the Doctor and his staff are genuinely concerned and try to make me as comfortable as possible, which is a plus because I am one big sissy when it comes to the dentist!

Prior to seeing you, I last visited a dentist 6 years ago. Fear was the main reason I avoided dental care. My poor dental health was affecting my self-esteem. Before coming to Shamblott Family Dentistry, I was in constant pain and I would not smile. I just want to put down some words to thank you and your staff. I remember shaking on the phone when I made that first appointment. I thought about canceling it once. Up until I got my new dentures I did not realize that for 11 years I had been wearing a denture that totally did not fit my face. When I smiled or laughed, you could not see any teeth. I was embarrassed by my bottom teeth because they were old looking and yellow. The Shamblott experience was great. Dr. Shamblott listened to what I wanted, a bright and full smile. The staff talked me through the procedures. I had elected to get sedation dentistry to have the remaining teeth taken out. I highly recommend it to everyone. I took the pre pill and about one hour later it was over. I now have a brighter smile. Someone asked me if I had a face lift. That felt good that someone had noticed a change. I want to thank all the staff and Dr. Shamblott for the professional way they took care of me.

From my first appointment to my last, I was treated with the utmost care and respect. After several years of fearing and avoiding the dentist, my teeth became bad and were causing me a tremendous amount of pain. Someone recommended Dr. Shamblott to me and I made my appointment. It turns out I needed, some fillings, 3 root canals, and a bridge. I decided that since I needed so much work done, I was going to finally have nice teeth. So I had some fillings done, root canals and a bridge done at the same time with sedation dentistry. Dr Shamblott and his team had prescriptions filled for me in advance so I wouldn’t have to worry about them after the procedure, and reassured me that everything would be fine. They told me I would not remember a thing and the pain would be minimal. I didn’t believe them and I was still scared and contemplated canceling the whole thing, but I went anyway. And let me tell you…I don’t remember a thing! Afterwards I hardly had any pain or discomfort either!! I was amazed! The only discomfort I felt was a little bit of swelling…that is it!! I highly recommend Shamblott Family Dentistry; they are professional, caring and considerate and will do the best to help you get what you need. Working with them was an absolute pleasure and I will continue to go to them in the future. I couldn’t ask for a better dental experience.

I don’t know why I a developed a fear of dentists, but unfortunately I did. Dr. Shamblott and those in his office were able to help me take care of all my problems, and give me a fresh start with my teeth. They’ve been fixed and deep cleaned, and I feel so much better about myself now. I had one exam, where Dr. Shamblott was very careful and understanding. The things required for sedation dentistry were covered. Their instructions, such as not eating or drinking beforehand, do need to be followed carefully I think. After the exam, I had an appointment where all the work was done except for the placing of the permanent crowns that I got. One minute I was talking to the Nurse who puts you under, and the next, I was home, talking to my brother and son and watching TV. I had one final appointment where the crowns were placed, and that was pretty easy. Before I had this work done, I was taking over the counter pain killers, and worrying about how things were just getting worse. I felt bad that I couldn’t address this problem.
