A children's dentist should be aware of how sensitive and frightened children are during their dental care visit. Your children's dentist must be focused on making a child's visit as painless and reassuring as possible while giving them the best possible care.
Because going to the dentist should never be a scary experience for a child.
"Everyone at Shamblott Family Dentistry was kind and patient. They allowed plenty of time to answer questions, and make sure that I was comfortable."

Children's dentist Dr. Shamblott answers questions...
- A child's first visit to the dentist should be when the first tooth comes in, usually between six and twelve months of age
- A child should have sealants applied to the 1st and 2nd permanent molars and appropriate premolars as soon as possible after they erupt (usually after 6 years of age).
- A child needs supplemental fluoride only if they aren't drinking fluoridated water. Do not give you child fluoride drops until you speak to your dentist.
- Bad dental habits for children include going to bed with a bottle, thumb or finger sucking, and swallowing toothpaste. Dr. Shamblott can explain why during your visit.
